GINGER
Ginger is a tropical perennial herb native to Southeast Asia and widely cultivated in China, India, Nigeria, Australia, Jamaica, and Haiti. Its subterranean stem, known as a rhizome, is the edible and medicinal portion of the plant. Ginger root is characterized by its knotted, beige exterior and its yellow interior. The herb features thick, protruding, reed-like stems and lanceolate leaves arranged in two vertical columns on opposite sides of the stem.

Platycodon is a perennial plant that grows to a height of about three feet. Also known as bell-flower or balloon-flower, platycodon is indigenous to China, Japan, Korea and Siberia. The plant is characterized by its flower buds which, when unopened, resemble small, inflated balloons. The main and secondary roots are used medicinally.
RHIZOMA PINELLINAE PRAEPARATA
The Rhizoma Pinelliae typically refers to Rhizoma Pinelliae, and it is the dry tuber that derives from the aroid Rhizoma Pinelliae, warm in nature, acrid in the mouth, poisonous, and its bulb is spherical in shape, and diameter mostly is 1~1.5cm, and matter is solid, odorless, peppery, the numb tongue of acrid in the mouth and sting larynx.
